Smokvina Bay from north |
Smokvina is a small bay on the southern side of Hvar Island. Here, on the eastern ends of Hvar the number of vacation
makers and tourists hasn't reached the level that is typical on the crowded SW part of the island. Thanks to this fact
vacations are much more relaxed here.
Leaving Hvar's maind road in Bogomolje and driving 2 or 3 kilometers on the macadam road one can reach Smokvina. A group
of houses, the coast and of course, the beach are all that make Smokvina.

Making a vacation in Smokvina, away from civilization, shopping is possible in Bogomolje, Sućuraj, or, when arriving
from west, in the towns (Stari Grad, Hvar). Drinks for refreshment and snacks can be bought in Nikola's bar (Kod
Nikole), as well - Nikola is the owner of several appartments in the bay.
